Each group has to design and build a 1:1 element related to cultural space design. We chose the “HORIZONTAL” and the concept design is a “suspended” table with one pole.

After visiting the site, I like the gaps between layers. I decided to maximize such character by creating layers.
Space in between layers can always be seen through. Both directions can see through even standing inside the core. The existing structure is exposed and clashed with the layers formed by continuous walls.

Materialization is about intuition of the main concept(emptying) and observation of the context(layers). As for the existing structure, I try to use it, expose it, and contrast it. While,

Tectonic is important when applying materials. I pretend to consider the possible ways of constructing my project and draw the details in sections, showing the relations between the addition part and the existing structure.
