‘It appears simple and graceful, no decorative elements are resorted to because I did not feel in the air the approval for decorative. I felt the striving not for severity but for the purity that I sense in a Greek temple.’

Find the order

Throughout the research of the Greek temple, the spatial order of the temple is inspired by the origin of the design, and I am engrossed in autonomy in architecture.

The operations of hierarchy come from the analysis of the Athens temples. Starting from pure geometry, the design of the dual-axis is established, and then the architectural elements are arrayed to create a strong sense of order.

The vertical circulations match the axis and are designed symmetrically. Both interior and exterior horizontal circulation adopts cloisters to establish the hierarchy of the interior space. At the same time, compared with the scattered and free space on the space by the elevation, the courtyard becomes the highest level space. Finally, the hallway space was raised to break the original hierarchy.
